Pais na creche: o que se ensina e o que se aprende

Abstract

A família e a creche encerram institutos de notável importância no contexto de desenvolvimento infantil. Neste sentido, é de extrema relevância que haja sintonia entre as oportunidades por ambas oferecidas, para que a educação da criança seja abrangente e otimizada. Com base nestas afirmativas, o estudo aqui proposto teve por objetivo principal a avaliação de um programa de participação de mães e pais em uma instituição educacional em benefício do desenvolvimento da criança. Para que este propósito fosse atingido, os membros participantes do projeto Pais no SEPI foram entrevistados e suas respostas analisadas qualitativamente, adotando-se, como método de avaliação, o exame por categorias, destacadamente. Os pontos cuja ênfase apresentaram maior realce, considerando-se os resultados obtidos, foram os seguintes: a necessidade demonstrada pelos participantes em receberem apoio pessoal; manifestação de expectativas pessoais, antes de seu papel como mãe ou pai; valorização da oportunidade de desenvolver habilidades, bem como de discutir sobre diversos assuntos do seu dia-a-dia e a possibilidade de vislumbrarem novas chances de mudanças em sua vida, decorrentes das novas experiências vividas. Observou-se que o atendimento dos pais propiciou que, tanto direta como indiretamente, o relacionamento com os filhos fosse abordado e re-significado em muitas ocasiões.

The family and the day care center are notably important institutions for children s development. That s why it is extremely relevant that the opportunities for both child and parents are well-balanced in order to optimize the child s education. Based on these statements, this study proposes as its main objective, the evaluation of a program with the participation of mothers and fathers in an educational institution for the benefit of the child s development. In order to fulfill this task, the participants in the parents SEPI project were interviewed. Their answers were closely analysed and the highlighted exam categories were used as a method of evaluation. The topics, which presented high distinction taking into considerations the results obtained, were the following: demonstration of personal expectations before performing the father and mother role, the value of skill development opportunities as well as the discussion about various day to day matters and also the possibilities to look forward to opportunities to change their lives resulting from these new experiences. It was observed that the parents presence helped both directly and indirectly in the improvement of the relationship with their children. It also had shown a significant improvement in many cases.
