Wetsidee: a ideia cosmonômica e a filosofia reformacional de Herman Dooyeweerd

Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar a vida e obra do filósofo reformacional holandês Herman Dooyeweerd e sua contribuição a respeito da pretensa autonomia da razão. Ao questionar o status axiomático na neutralidade do pensamento científico, Dooyeweerd demonstra que não apenas é impossível que a razão seja autônoma, como também que pressupostos de natureza religiosa fazem parte de sua estrutura interna. Para fazer isso, Dooyeweerd apresenta um edifício teórico filosófico de método rigoroso, construído sobre uma visão de mundo profundamente cristã reformada herdada do movimento reformacional holandês. Por fim, espera-se que este trabalho seja útil no debate acerca da relação entre fé e razão, recomendando que estas não são excludentes uma à outra, antes deveriam caminhar sempre juntas.

This paper intends to present the life and work of the Dutch reformational philosopher Herman Dooyeweerd and his contribution on the question of the pretended autonomy of reason. By questioning the axiomatic status that scientific thinking is neutral Dooyeweerd demonstrates not only that it is impossible to reason to be autonomous, but also that there are religious presuppositions in its internal structure. In order to do that Dooyeweerd presents his theoretical-philosophical edifice built upon a rigorous method and a Christian Reformed worldview inherited from the Dutch Reformational movement. Finally, it is hoped that this work could foment the debate on the relationship between faith and science, recommending that they are not exclusive to each other, rather they should always walk together.
