Traços de helenização no pensamento de inácio de antioquia: cristologia, antropologia, escatologia individual e cosmologia.

Abstract

A relação do cristianismo com o helenismo já dura quase dois mil anos, e há uma ampla discussão sobre tema no meio acadêmico. Partindo do pressuposto de que a helenização do cristianismo se tornou patente durante a virada do primeiro para o segundo século, este estudo se concentra no grupo de autores cristãos atualmente conhecido como Padres Apostólicos. Dentre estes, selecionou-se Inácio, bispo de Antioquia, a quem são atribuídas sete epístolas destinadas a grupos cristãos da Ásia Menor, as quais são o material de análise desta pesquisa. A influência do helenismo sobre Inácio tem sido reconhecida entre os pesquisadores interessados em seus escritos. Este estudo procura contribuir com a compreensão do modo como ela se dá sobre quatro tópicos específicos do pensamento inaciano, a saber: a cristologia, a antropologia, a escatologia individual e a cosmologia. Ao examinar esses pontos, buscou-se compreender a existência de ressignificações da tradição cristã apostólica com base em elementos provindos de cosmovisões helenísticas.

The relationship between Christianity and Hellenism has lasted almost two thousand years, and there is a wide discussion on the subject in academia. Assuming that the Hellenization of Christianity became evident during the turn of the first to the second century, this study focuses on the group of christian authors currently known as the Apostolic Fathers. One author was selected from this group, Ignatius, bishop of Antioch, to whom is attributed the authorship of seven epistles written to Christian groups in Asia Minor. These epistles are the focus of analysis of this research. The influence of Hellenism on Ignatius has been recognized among researchers interested in his writings. This study seeks to contribute to the understanding of how it affects four specific topics of Ignatian thought, namely: christology, anthropology, individual eschatology and cosmology. By examining these points, we sought to understand the existence of resignifications of the apostolic Christian tradition based on elements that came from hellenistic worldviews.
