Efeitos do ENADE no curso de Gestão Empresarial da Faculdade de Tecnologia de Indaiatuba (Fatec) – Percepção de Gestores e Professores

Abstract

Após meio século desde a sua fundação, o Centro Paula Souza é considerado a maior referência do Brasil em Ensino Técnico e Tecnológico gratuito de qualidade. Por essa razão e pelo compromisso com a educação pública de qualidade, a participação dos alunos da Faculdade de Tecnologia (Fatec) no Exame Nacional de Desempenho do Estudante (Enade), constitutivo do Sistema Nacional de Avaliação da Educação Superior (Sinaes), é estimulada pelos gestores das respectivas unidades. Tendo em vista o contexto descrito, o problema norteador desta pesquisa é: quais os efeitos do Enade no curso de Gestão Empresarial da Fatec de Indaiatuba? Constitui objetivo geral investigar os efeitos do Enade no curso de Gestão Empresarial da Fatec de Indaiatuba, na percepção de gestores e professores. A pesquisa procedeu-se a partir de uma abordagem qualitativa, sem desprezar os dados quantificáveis, considerando, para a produção de material empírico, a análise documental do projeto pedagógico do curso pesquisado; a entrevista semiestruturada com diretor e coordenador do curso; e o grupo focal com professores que atuam no curso da unidade pesquisada. O lócus da pesquisa foi a Faculdade de Tecnologia (Fatec), no município de Indaiatuba (SP). A referida investigação está ancorada, teoricamente, em obras de autores consagrados no campo da avaliação educacional, à luz de José Dias Sobrinho, dentre outros. Em busca realizada na Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD), no Banco de Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) e na plataforma Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), constatou-se que não há pesquisa sobre o Enade que tenha como lócus a Fatec, o que aponta o potencial deste estudo para contribuir não só com a unidade pesquisada, mas, também, com outras unidades pertencentes à educação superior do Centro Paula Souza. Os resultados apontam que, na percepção de gestores e professores, o Enade produz efeitos no curso de Gestão Empresarial da Fatec de Indaiatuba, ainda que haja controvérsias entre o que expressam e o que argumentam. Tais efeitos incidem no currículo do curso, à medida que existem ações que buscam a preparação dos alunos para o exame, a exemplo das provas elaboradas à luz do Enade. Contudo, o compromisso do Centro Paula Souza, que abriga as Fatecs, com relação à qualidade vai além da incidência das políticas públicas de avaliação da educação superior. A evidência dessa assertiva, por meio de manifestos dos participantes da pesquisa, no que se refere ao curso em pauta, está no fato de a adesão ao Enade ser recente, tendo em vista a participação nas últimas três edições. Todavia, outros indicadores de natureza externa, prescritos pelo Conselho Estadual de Educação de São Paulo (CEE/SP), e de natureza interna, oriundos do Sistema de Avaliação Institucional (SAI), têm indicado a qualidade do curso de Gestão Empresarial da Fatec de Indaiatuba. A despeito do Enade, os participantes da pesquisa reiteraram o diferencial do curso na formação de egressos com habilidades e competências desenvolvidas para atuarem no mercado de trabalho. A pesquisa revelou a necessidade de se atentar aos resultados do Enade articulados aos processos de avaliação interna, na perspectiva de gerar problematizações que subsidiem ações na direção de que sejam pensadas e efetivadas melhorias permanentes, no tocante à infraestrutura, ao currículo, às práticas pedagógicas e à gestão do Curso. Intenta-se que essa pesquisa possa contribuir, ainda, com a reflexão de educadores sobre os efeitos do Enade nos cursos da educação superior, somando-se a outras pesquisas desenvolvidas à sua semelhança, que implicam a temática em questão, de modo a ampliar o campo de estudo que versa sobre as políticas públicas de avaliação da educação superior.

After half a century since its foundation, the Paula Souza Center is considered the highest reference in Brazil in free technical and technological education of quality. For this reason and due to the commitment to quality public education, the participation of the students of the Faculty of Technology (Fatec) in the National Examination of Student Performance (Enade), constitutive of the National System of Evaluation of Higher Education (Sinaes), is stimulated managers of the respective units. Considering the context described, the guiding problem of this research is: what are the effects of Enade in the Business Management course of Fatec de Indaiatuba? It is a general objective to investigate the effects of Enade in the course of Business Management of Fatec de Indaiatuba, in the perception of managers and teachers. The research proceeded from a qualitative approach, without neglecting the quantifiable data, considering, for the production of empirical material, the documentary analysis of the pedagogical project of the studied course; the semi-structured interview with director and coordinator of the course; and the focus group with teachers who work in the course of the research unit. The locus of the research was the Faculty of Technology (Fatec), in the municipality of Indaiatuba (SP). The aforementioned research is anchored, theoretically, in the works of renowned authors in the field of educational evaluation, in the light of José Dias Sobrinho, among others. In the search conducted at the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), at the Bank of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and in the platform Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), it was verified that there is no research on the Enade that has as a locus Fatec, which points out the potential of this study to contribute not only to the unit researched, but also to other units belonging to higher education at the Paula Souza Center. The results point out that, in the perception of managers and teachers, Enade has effects in the course of Business Management of Fatec de Indaiatuba, although there are controversies between what they express and what they argue. These effects affect the curriculum of the course, as there are actions that seek to prepare students for the exam, such as the tests developed in the light of Enade. However, the commitment of the Paula Souza Center, which houses the Fatecs, regarding quality goes beyond the incidence of public policies for the evaluation of higher education. The evidence of this assertion, through the manifests of the participants of the research, regarding the course in question, is the fact that the adhesion to Enade is recent, in view of the participation in the last three editions. However, other external indicators, prescribed by the State Council of Education of São Paulo (CEE / SP), and of an internal nature, coming from the Institutional Evaluation System (SAI), have indicated the quality of the Fatec Indaiatuba. In spite of Enade, the research participants reiterated the differential of the course in the training of graduates with skills and competences developed to work in the labor market. The research revealed the need to take into account the results of the Enade articulated to the internal evaluation processes, with the perspective of generating problematizations that subsidize actions in the direction of which permanent improvements are thought and made, with respect to infrastructure, curriculum, pedagogical practices and course management. It is hoped that this research may also contribute to the reflection of educators on the effects of Enade in higher education courses, in addition to other researches developed in the same way that imply the theme in question, in order to expand the field of study that deals with public policies for the evaluation of higher education.
