A finalidade do homem: o bem supremo em Aristóteles

Abstract

O presente trabalho monográfico tem por objetivo apresentar e desenvolver o tema da finalidade do homem. Finalidade esta, que é o bem supremo, e que chegaremos à conclusão de que seja este bem superior, a própria contemplação da verdade. O desenvolvimento se dará no pensamento de Aristóteles (385-322 a.C.). Será demonstrado com fundamentação em alguns dos principais conceitos da Ética aristotélica: um possível percurso do homem rumo ao fim último e perfeito, em vista do qual, todos objetivam todo seu agir. Se pretende com este texto, evidenciar o que seja a felicidade para o clássico filósofo, fazendo uso, também, das obras de seu seguidor, o Doutor da Igreja, Santo Tomás de Aquino. Por fim, veremos ser a felicidade a maior e mais perfeita operação do ser, fora da qual, o homem não se faz realizado.

The monographic works objective to present and develop the theme of the purpose of man. This end, which is the supreme good, and that we will reach the conclusion that it is this supreme good, the very contemplation of the truth. It will be demonstrated based on some of the main concepts of Aristotelian Ethics: a possible path of man towards the ultimate and perfect end, in view of which, everyone aims at all their actions. The text intends to show what happiness is for the classic philosopher, also making of this follower, the Doctor of the Church, St Thomas Aquinas. Finally, we will see that happiness is the greatest and most perfect operation of being, out of which man is not fulfilled.
