A formação do Distrito de Rebouças: origem do município de Sumaré

Abstract

Este trabalho analisa o processo de estruturação da área inicial da cidade de Sumaré no final do século XIX e início do século XX, quando este município ainda era chamado de bairro de Rebouças , povoado de Rebouças e depois a partir de 1916 virou o Distrito de Rebouças que neste período estava sob a administração de Campinas. Analisa os elementos e os agentes sociais envolvidos na configuração espacial e no desenho da malha urbana de Rebouças que se inicia no final século XIX, esta investigação também realiza o resgate da história urbana de Rebouças, considerando a participação dos trilhos e do prédio da Estação Rebouças para passageiros e cargas, ambos construídos em 1875 pela Companhia Paulista de Estradas de Ferro, as formas de apropriação e uso desse espaço, que revelam portanto a concepção de mundo e das necessidades na temporalidade-espaço que foram produzidos.

This work analyzes the process of estruturação of the initial area of the city of Sumaré in the end of century XIX and beginning of century XX, when this city still was called quarter of Rebouças, town of Rebouças and later from 1916 turned the District Rebouças that in this period was under the administration of Campinas. It analyzes the involved elements and social agents in the space configuration and in the drawing of the urban mesh of Rebouças that if it initiates in final century XIX, this inquiry also carries through the rescue of the urban history of Rebouças, considering the participation of the tracks and the building of the Rebouças Station for passengers and loads, both constructed in 1875 for the São Paulo Company of Railroads, the forms of appropriation and use of this space, that disclose therefore the conception of world and the necessities in the temporality-space that they had been produced.
