Revolta, dor e melancolia: a antropologia das emoções em análise ao desaparecimento de si e a morte voluntária

Abstract

O tema do presente trabalho articula a Antropologia, área das Ciências Sociais, sobre três segmentos principais: Antropologia do Corpo, Antropologia das Emoções e Sentidos e Antropologia da Dor, sendo esta última destacada com enfoque à dor emocional. Tem como objetivo mostrar, através do meio cultural, como as sociedades caminham para a conscientização da problemática relacionada aos distúrbios mentais, aos comportamentos de risco e a morte voluntária. E, para além, evidenciar o espectro cultural dentro do recorte de gênero, raça e classe e suas relações, principalmente no Ocidente. Com auxílio de materiais bibliográficos e dados empíricos, a relevância da pesquisa caminha para elucidar se o modelo de sociedade vigente, através de padrões históricos hierárquicos e usurpadores (amalgamado em influências europeias), garante o pleno direito à vida: em sua subsistência e dignidade. Assim, a apresentação de dados permite refletir sobre respostas possíveis em reverter o cenário da morte voluntária e como a Antropologia se faz importante para compreender o corpo, a mente e as emoções em sociedades distintas através de sua própria metodologia e abordagem.

The theme of the present work articulates Anthropology, an area of the Social Sciences on three main segments: Anthropology of the Body, Anthropology of Emotions and Senses, and Anthropology of Pain, the latter being highlighted with a focus on emotional pain. It aims to show, through the cultural environment, how societies move towards awareness of the problems related to mental disorders, risk behaviors, and voluntary death. And, furthermore, to evidence the cultural spectrum within the clipping of gender, race, and class and their relations, mainly in the West. With the help of bibliographic materials and empirical data, the relevance of this research walks to elucidate if the current model of society, through hierarchical and usurping historical patterns (amalgamated in European influences), guarantees the full right to life: in its subsistence and dignity. Thus, the presentation of data allows us to reflect on possible answers in reversing the scenario of voluntary death and how Anthropology is important to understand the body, the mind and the emotions in distinct societies through its own methodology and approach.
