Juhani Pallasmaa, a fenomenologia do habitar: habitar é mais do que morar, é meu lugar no mundo

Abstract

Esta dissertação tem por objetivo discorrer acerca do habitar humano a partir de Juhani Pallasmaa, considerando suas contribuições como arquiteto fenomenólogo que defende que a experiência com o lugar é fundamental para que se perceba o mundo em que o habitar faz parte do nosso ser, da nossa identidade. As conexões das pessoas com os espaços por meio das atmosferas arquitetônicas são percebidas e sentidas pela experiência vivida com o lugar. O tangível e o intangível, o material e o imaterial geram significados na vivência do lugar. A experiência fenomenológica em si, dessa maneira, pode-se dar em qualquer lugar e tempo em que o Ser-aí esteja, mediante o sensível que permite o encontro fenomenológico com a coisa em si – o espaço arquitetônico – um diálogo entre o projetado, o sentido e o experienciado. Inserida em um contexto urbano, a obra arquitetônica, seja de uso individual ou coletivo, abriga sentimentos, dialoga com o tempo e o lugar. Acolhe, em uma linguagem não verbal, história, cultura e o Estar-aí, nossa existência. Na filosofia da linguagem, é primordial entender a comunicação, o discurso. A filosofia da linguagem está relacionada com as pessoas e como elas se comunicam, interagem; está intrinsecamente presente na arquitetura e naquilo que ela expressa no diálogo com quem a habita. Traz consigo interação, integração e o abrir de outros sentidos além da visão. Uma “geometria-sentimento” entre espaços e experiências multissensoriais que ampliam a dimensão de nossa consciência, a realidade dos nossos sonhos, imagens, memórias e sentimentos. Buscamos a experiência fenomenológica de uma obra paradigmática do arquiteto Juhani Pallasmaa, a Casa de Cultura Korundi, articulada ao seu pensamento e a uma tessitura teórica, no sentido de indicar passos metodológicos em direção à visão da arquitetura como lugar, o diálogo com os Seres-aí, Seres do mundo.

This dissertation aims to discuss human living, based on Juhani Pallasmaa, considering his contributions as a phenomenologist architect, who argues that the experience with the place is fundamental for perceiving the world, in which living is part of our being. , of our identity. The connections between people and spaces through architectural atmospheres are perceived and felt through the lived experience of the place. The tangible and intangible, material and immaterial generate meanings in the experience of the place. The phenomenological experience itself, in this way, can take place in any place and time in which the Being-there is, through the sensitive, which allows the phenomenological encounter with the thing in itself –the architectural space – a dialogue between the projected, meaning and experience. Inserted in an urban context, the architectural work, whether for individual or collective use, harbors feelings and dialogues with time and place. It welcomes, in a non-verbal language, history, culture, and Being-there, our existence. In the philosophy of language, it is essential to understand communication, discourse. The philosophy of language is related to people and how they communicate and interact; is intrinsically present in architecture, and what it expresses in dialogue with those who live there. It brings with it interaction, integration and the opening of other senses besides vision. A feeling geometry between spaces and multisensory experiences, which expand the dimension of our consciousness, the reality of our dreams, images, memories and feelings. We seek the phenomenological experience of a paradigmatic work by architect Juhani Pallasmaa, the Korundi House of Culture, articulated with his thought and a theoretical framework, in order to indicate methodological steps towards the vision of architecture as a place, the interaction with the Beings-there, Being of the world.
