Correção do ceceio frontal: revisão de literatura para elaboração de livro infantil motivador

Abstract

Introdução: Ceceio anterior ou sigmatismo frontal trata-se da interposição da língua entre os dentes incisivos superiores e inferiores ao serem pronunciados os fonemas /s/ e /z/. Isso resulta na distorção da pronúncia desses fonemas e por vezes compromete a inteligibilidade da fala. Existem diversas causas apontadas para o ceceio anterior, incluindo desordens miofuncionais orais, deglutição com postura alterada da língua entre os dentes, hábitos deletérios como sucção digital, chupeta e mamadeira, frequentemente resultando em mordida aberta anterior, sendo esta a mais comumente observada. Outros fonemas linguodentais também podem ser produzidos com interposição lingual frontal levando à distorção na articulação dos fonemas /t/, /d/, /l/, /n/. Objetivo: realizar uma revisão de literatura para elaborar um livro que seja motivador às crianças quando em processo de correção do ceceio frontal. Metodologia: foi realizada revisão de literatura e bibliográfica relacionadas à terapia miofuncional orofacial e cervical quando na etapa de correção do ceceio, utilizando os capítulos dos "Tratados de Fonoaudiologia" da Sociedade Brasileira de Fonoaudiologia (SBFa), abrangendo publicações desde o ano 2000 até a última edição em 2014. Resultados: O resultado desta análise permitiu a organização de um roteiro de abordagens e exercícios para correção do ceceio frontal na produção dos fonemas /s/ e /z/. A partir do levantamento desse conteúdo foram idealizadas as ilustrações dos exercícios contidos num livro intitulado “Sofia Não Sabe Enfeitiçar” que conta a história de uma bruxinha chamada Sofia, que possuía ceceio anterior e por isso não conseguia falar corretamente seus feitiços e tudo começa a dar certo para ela a partir da correção de seu ceceio. Considerações finais: pode-se concluir que a escassez de materiais audiovisuais motivadores, para a terapia fonoaudiológica, na área de motricidade é expressivo, podendo se supor que tal escassez possa estar relacionada à dificuldade de ilustração dos exercícios e transcrição deles para histórias que alcancem o público infantil. Por isso, sugere-se a importância de mais recursos motivadores voltados à terapia miofuncional orofacial infantil e assim, o livro ora elaborado ficará à disposição de fonoaudiólogos interessados de forma gratuita.

Introduction: Anterior lisp or frontal sigmatism is the interposition of the tongue between the upper and lower incisor teeth when the phonemes /s/ and /z/ are pronounced. This results in the distortion of the pronunciation of these phonemes and sometimes compromises speech intelligibility. There are several indications of causes of anterior lisp, including oral myofunctional disorder, with swallowing performed with an altered tongue posture, placed between the lower and upper incisor teeth, harmful habits of finger sucking and pacifier and bottle use, resulting in an open anterior bite, the most frequently mentioned. Other linguodental phonemes can also be produced with frontal lingual interposition, leading to distortion in the articulation of the phonemes /t/, /d/, /l/, /n/. Objective: to carry out a literature review to create a book that is motivating for children during the process of correcting their frontal lisp. Methodology: a literature and bibliographic review was carried out related to orofacial and cervical myofunctional therapy during the lisp correction stage, using the chapters of “Tratados de Fonoaudiologia” published by the Brazilian Society of Speech Therapy (SBFa), covering the publications between 2000 and its last in 2014. Results: The result of this analysis allowed the organization of a script of approaches and exercises to correct frontal lisping in the production of the phonemes /s/ and /z/. From the survey of this content, illustrations of the exercises were created for a book entitled “Sofia Não Sabe Enfeitiçar”, which tells the story of a little witch called Sofia, who had a previous lisp and was therefore unable to speak her spells correctly and everything starts to go right for her after the correction of her lisp. Final considerations: it can be concluded that the shortage of motivating audiovisual materials for speech therapy, in the area of motor skills, is significant and it can be assumed that such a shortage may be related to the difficulty of illustrating the exercises and transcribing them into stories that reach the children. Therefore, the importance of more motivating resources aimed at children's orofacial myofunctional therapy is suggested and thus, the book now prepared will be available to interested speech therapists free of charge.
