Transgeneridade em tela: os efeitos discursivos na representação das protagonistas dos filmes Una Mujer Fantástica e Alice Júnior

Abstract

Esta pesquisa surge ao considerar o cinema como um espaço privilegiado de representações e da manifestação de um certo discurso artístico que mistura diferentes tipos de linguagem, capazes de modular os imaginários e reiterar manifestações de ordem discursiva para pensar a construção dos sujeitos e o modo como eles são representados e, muitas vezes, estigmatizados na sociedade. Dessa forma, o objetivo geral desta pesquisa é investigar o modo como a transgeneridade é representada na sociedade, especificamente, em duas produções do cinema latino-americano. Para isso, esta pesquisa volta-se a uma perspectiva qualitativa interpretativista que se dá por um estudo de caso sobre as representações de transgêneros em dois filmes latino-americanos, Alice Junior (2019) e Una Mujer Fantástica (2017). A pesquisa apresenta como método a cartografia, configurado pela perspectiva de Deleuze e Guattari, uma vez que essa estrutura rizomática de análise se dá a partir do campo de estudo da sexualidade e de gênero. Essa perspectiva se fundamenta pela teoria queer e se realiza por meio de uma análise discursiva, baseada nos estudos de Michel Foucault, com o fim de problematizar o papel da linguagem na construção da subjetividade e revelar o que envolve a produção de saber e as relações de poder, ao focalizar as formações discursivas no interior dos processos políticos, sociais e históricos, trazidas pela materialidade linguística composta por imagem e texto dos filmes que compõem o corpus de análise.

This research emerges from considering cinema as a privileged space for representations and the manifestation of a certain artistic discourse that mixes different types of language, capable of modulating the imaginary and reiterating manifestations of a discursive order to think about the construction of subjects and the way they are represented and, often, stigmatized in society. Thus, the general objective of this research is to investigate the way in which transgenderism is represented in society, specifically, in two productions of Latin American cinema. To this end, this research turns to a qualitative interpretative perspective that is given by a case study on the representations of transgender people in two Latin American films, Alice Junior (2019) and Una Mujer Fantástica (2017). The research presents cartography as a method, configured by the perspective of Deleuze and Guattari, since this rhizomatic structure of analysis occurs from the field of study of sexuality and gender. This perspective is based on queer theory and is carried out through a discursive analysis, based on the studies of Michel Foucault, with the aim of problematizing the role of language in the construction of subjectivity and revealing what is involved in the production of knowledge and power relations, by focusing on the discursive formations within the political, social and historical processes, brought about by the linguistic materiality composed of images and texts of the films that make up the corpus of analysis.
