Processos históricos, políticos e econômicos associáveis ao ensino técnico industrial: um estudo de caso

Abstract

Este estudo contextualiza o ensino técnico industrial, a partir da Escola Técnica Estadual Pedro Ferreira Alves, considerando o movimento sociocultural e político em torno da construção e do surgimento dessa instituição. O interesse por esta pesquisa emerge da preocupação com a formação do trabalhador brasileiro de nível técnico. O trabalhador que a cada momento perde a voz e a vez. Cabe ressaltar que a educação, no presente estudo, não é tratada de forma estanque dos acontecimentos econômicos e sociais. Buscou-se resgatar, através do relato do primeiro diretor da Escola Técnica Estadual Pedro Ferreira Alves, de reportagens da imprensa local e do Plano Plurianual de Gestão/2009, a trajetória da escola desde a sua implementação até o corrente ano de 2009. Nesse contexto, percebeu-se que seria preciso pontuar a legislação referente ao ensino técnico industrial e, posteriormente, ao ensino profissional para verificar a emblemática presente. Como forma de subsidiar análises, discorreu-se sobre referenciais teóricos focados na legislação do ensino técnico, nas relações entre trabalho e educação e no mundo do trabalho . A partir de então, chegou-se à pesquisa empírica, cuja metodologia consistiu em entrevistas semi-estruturadas gravadas com a direção e a coordenação dos cursos voltados à indústria ofertados pela supracitada Escola, a fim de investigar como se dá o enquadramento de uma instituição técnica no âmbito do sistema neoliberal estabelecido. Detectou-se considerável quadro de evasão escolar. Percebeu-se que a formação do trabalhador não se dá somente através dos muros da escola, e sim, através de suas relações sociais, desmistificando a lógica neoliberal de que a escola é a única responsável pela educação do trabalhador. Constatou-se também paralelismo entre a legislação voltada ao ensino técnico e a lógica neoliberal.
