Coronavírus, causando a Covid-19. Em virtude deste acontecimento, diversas
medidas precisaram ser tomadas, incluindo o isolamento social. As escolas fecharam
presenciais?
As
| pt_BR |
dc.description.abstract | In March 2020 Brazil was devastated by SARS Cov-2, popularly known as
Coronavirus, causing the Covid-19 pandemic. Many measures had to be taken,
including social distancing. The schools were closed, and emergency remote learning
had to be implemented. In this bias, this work is inserted a line of research called
“Teacher´s Training and Pedagogical Practices” and its object of study is literacy
during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, the problem question that guided the study was:
what reading and writing experiences did the children have in the remote context and
how have these experiences been considered, in view of the literacy process, when
returning to face-to-face classes? Based on this question, the research's general
objective was to identify the possible relations between reading instruction and literacy,
based on the work with reading and writing carried out by teachers of the literacy cycle
during remote teaching, partial and total return to presential classes. The specific
objectives are: (i) to know the work done with reading and writing in remote teaching,
partial and full return to classes; (ii) to identify the conceptions of language that underlie
the teachers' work; (iii) to relate the conceptions and practices of teachers with the
provisions of the National Literacy Policy (PNA). The method is characterized by a
qualitative approach and the instrument chosen for the production of the empirical
material was the focus group technique. Five teachers who work in different municipal
schools in the interior of the state of São Paulo participated in the research. The results
showed that the response time of each prefecture varied greatly. Some, soon after the
suspension of the on-site classes, started the first orientations for the beginning of
remote teaching. Others took longer, leading to a distancing between families and
teachers, generating a lot of dissatisfaction on both sides. The difficulties of
connectivity and interactivity, due to the lack of equipment in most families, led to a low
return of students. Regarding the partial return to school, it started in different periods
depending on the organization of each municipality. In this model the class was divided
into two or three groups of students, who alternated going to school with remote
activities. The return to 100% face-to-face work happened in some places at the end
of 2021 and in others at the beginning of 2022. The biggest challenges faced by the
teachers in this return were related to problems of socialization among students,
notebook organization, and irregularity in relation to class attendance. The high
number of absences compromised the progress of the literacy process. As for the
reading and writing experiences, they were presented in axes, taking as reference the
language practices: orality, reading, written production and linguistic analysis and
reflection. Regarding the reading and writing experiences, we believe it is important to
highlight that the teachers sought to contemplate reading instruction from a literacy
perspective even during remote teaching. This occurred due to the conception of
language that guides the teachers' work: reading and writing based on the construction
of meaning and significance by the students. | pt_BR |
