Vivências de venezuelanos sobre o refúgio no Brasil: O papel da apropriação da língua para a inserção na cultura

Abstract

Este estudo tem como objetivo conhecer a vivência de venezuelanos em situação de refúgio no Brasil e analisar a importância do papel da língua na inserção de refugiados na cultura do país que os recebe. A pesquisa, ora apresentada, insere-se no campo dos estudos qualitativos. Ancorada nos pressupostos teórico-metodológicos da Psicologia Histórico-Cultural de Vygotsky, sobretudo nas contribuições dele, sobre o papel do pensamento e da linguagem no desenvolvimento humano. Esta pesquisa-intervenção realizou, durante cinco meses, entrevistas semiestruturadas e encontros semanais presenciais com adultos refugiados, em uma Organização não Governamental (ONG) que acolhe esses sujeitos, na cidade de São Paulo. As entrevistas foram gravadas e transcritas, e os encontros registrados em Diários de Campo. Nos encontros, usamos materialidades artísticas como forma de criar espaços para ampliar as expressões das vivências dos participantes e promover o diálogo sobre a temática da emigração. Os resultados indicaram que as questões envolvidas no refúgio podem estar relacionadas a diversos motivos, sociais, econômicos e políticos, este último, por vezes, gera perseguição, conflitos e violação de direitos humanos. Além disso, ao chegarem ao país de acolhida, enfrentam desigualdades sociais, falta de moradia e de emprego. Dentre as dificuldades enfrentadas, o não domínio da língua portuguesa apresenta-se como de grande relevância, visto que não conseguem sequer obter documentos, desempenhar-se em uma entrevista de emprego ou mesmo acessar seus direitos. Conclui-se, dessa forma, que o investimento na criação de espaços para a apropriação da língua portuguesa é urgente, para que o Brasil estabeleça uma política migratória capaz de - não somente acolher - mas também incluir os que sofrem por serem obrigados a deixar seus países.

This study aims to understand the experience of Venezuelans in a situation of refuge in Brazil and to analyze the importance of the role of language in the insertion of adult refugees in the culture of the country that receives them. The research presented here is part of the field of qualitative studies. It is anchored in the theoretical-methodological assumptions of Vygotsky's Historical-Cultural Psychology, especially in his contributions on the role of thinking and language in human development. This research-intervention carried out semi-structured interviews and weekly face-to face meetings with adult refugees, in a non-governmental organization that welcomes those people, in the city of São Paulo, during a period of five months. The interviews were recorded and transcribed; and the meetings recorded in Field Diaries. In the meetings, we use artistic materials as a way to create spaces to expand the expressions of the participant´s experiences and promote dialogue on the theme of emigration. The results indicated that the issues involved in the refuge may be related to different reasons, social, economic and political, the latter sometimes generates persecution, conflicts and violation of human rights. However, upon arriving in the host country, they face social inequalities, lack of housing and employment. Among the difficulties faced, the lack of knowledge of the Portuguese language is presented with great relevance, since they cannot even obtain documents, perform in a job interview or even access their rights. It is concluded, therefore, that the investment in creating spaces for the appropriation of the Portuguese language is urgent for Brazil to establish a migration policy capable of not only welcoming, but also including subjects who suffer from being forced to leave their countries in society.
