Atenção e memória auditiva nas crianças: revisão de literatura e elaboração de software para treinamento

Abstract

A memória desempenha um papel muito importante no desenvolvimento da linguagem e consequentemente no desempenho escolar. O sistema auditivo humano é excepcional e complexo, pois compreende a recepção, a análise e a interpretação dos sons. Dessa forma, o conhecimento do sistema auditivo é a base necessária no estudo de PAC (Processamento Auditivo Central). É indispensável, a troca de informações entre o sistema cognitivo e as habilidades auditivas, permeando o aprendizado da linguagem por meio de experiências auditivas. As informações recebidas pelo Sistema Auditivo Periférico são conduzidas pelo Sistema Nervoso Auditivo Central que interpreta informações auditivas recebidas. Este estudo tem como objetivo realizar a revisão de literatura voltada às habilidades de atenção e memória auditiva e a partir do conteúdo científico analisado, propor um software que contribua para a estimulação de tais habilidades nas crianças. Trata-se de um estudo composto por duas partes, sendo a primeira uma revisão de literatura, de caráter qualitativo, descritivo e analítico relacionada à produção científica brasileira dos últimos dez anos, com foco em atenção e memória, e a segunda parte, com base nos resultados da revisão de literatura, foi elaborado um software para estimulação das habilidades de atenção e memória auditiva, para o público alvo estabelecido, crianças de sete a doze anos. Na primeira etapa, de acordo com a revisão integrativa de literatura, seis artigos foram selecionados atendendo aos critérios de inclusão. A partir da análise dos testes Fala no Ruído, PSI, SSI, RGDT e GIN observou-se correlação significativa com a habilidade de atenção, do teste Dicótico de Dígitos observou-se correlação com a memória, e dos testes SSW, Teste Padrão de Frequência e Teste Padrão de Duração com ambas as habilidades. Também foi possível perceber que testes que avaliaram a mesma habilidade de PAC tiveram correlações semelhantes com o processo de Top Down. Sobre tal embasamento, na etapa seguinte foi elaborado um software com a finalidade de estimular o treinamento da atenção e memória para o público infanto juvenil (de sete a doze anos). Este software é composto por duas etapas, sendo a primeira um treino de identificação dos sons de diferentes campos semânticos, e a segunda um jogo da memória com estímulos auditivos e reforço visual. Ao final do estudo, foi possível constatar que alguns dos testes do processamento auditivo central apresentaram correlações notáveis com as habilidades de atenção e memória. Sobre tal embasamento, um software foi elaborado com a finalidade de estimular o treinamento da atenção e memória para o público alvo.

Memory plays a very important role in language development and consequently in school performance. The human auditory system is exceptional and complex, as it comprises the reception, analysis and interpretation of sounds. Thus, knowledge of the auditory system is the necessary basis in the study of CAP (Central Auditory Processing). It is essential to exchange information between the cognitive system and auditory skills, permeating language learning through auditory experiences. The information received by the Peripheral Auditory System is conducted by the Central Auditory Nervous System which interprets the auditory information received. To carry out a literature review focused on attention and memory skills and, based on the analyzed scientific content, to propose a software that contributes to the stimulation of such skills in children. This is a study composed of two parts, the first being a qualitative, descriptive and analytical literature review related to the Brazilian scientific production of the last ten years, focusing on attention and memory, and the second part, based on the results of the literature review, a software was developed to stimulate attention and auditory memory skills, for the established target audience, children from seven to twelve years old. In the first stage, according to the integrative literature review, six articles were selected meeting the inclusion criteria. From the analysis of the Speech-in-Noise, PSI, SSI, RGDT and GIN tests, a significant correlation was observed with the attention ability, the Dichotic Digits test showed a correlation with memory, and the SSW tests, Frequency Pattern Test and Duration Pattern Test with both abilities. It was also possible to notice that tests that evaluated the same CAP ability had similar correlations with the Top Down process. On this basis, in the next step, a software was developed in order to stimulate attention and memory training for the target audience. This software consists of two stages, the first being a training in identifying sounds from different semantic fields, and the second being a memory game with auditory stimuli and visual reinforcement. At the end of the study, it was possible to verify that some of the central auditory processing tests showed remarkable correlations with attention and memory skills. On this basis, a software was developed with the purpose of stimulating attention and memory training for the target audience.
