A experiência vivida de mulheres sobre abuso sexual na infância ou adolescência

Abstract

O abuso sexual está entre as quatro maiores causas de denúncias de violações de direitos humanos contra crianças e adolescentes no Brasil, sendo as vítimas, em sua maioria, do gênero feminino. Ademais, é considerado um importante fator de risco para o desenvolvimento de patologias que afetam a saúde física, psicológica, sexual e social na vida adulta. Destacam-se as repercussões negativas para a saúde mental, como sentimentos de vergonha, culpa, humilhação, desamparo e ambivalência ao longo do desenvolvimento. Este estudo objetivou compreender fenomenologicamente a experiência vivida de mulheres sobre o abuso sexual sofrido na infância ou adolescência. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de natureza exploratória, metodologicamente orientada pelos pressupostos da fenomenologia clássica, desenvolvida pelo filósofo alemão Edmund Husserl. Foram realizados encontros dialógicos individuais presenciais com cada uma das seis participantes, mulheres cisgênero com idades entre 21 e 40 anos, com duração média de duas horas. Uma questão norteadora foi apresentada pela pesquisadora ao iniciar cada encontro: “Estou interessada em conversar com mulheres que sofreram abuso sexual no passado. Você pode me contar sobre a sua experiência e como se sente atualmente?” Após cada encontro, a pesquisadora construiu uma narrativa compreensiva a partir das suas impressões, sentimentos e ideias sobre a experiência compartilhada pela participante. Concluídas as narrativas compreensivas, foi elaborada uma narrativa síntese contendo os principais elementos que estruturam o fenômeno em foco, cuja compreensão psicológica ancorou-se nas proposições da fenomenologia clássica de Edmund Husserl e de seus colaboradores e em pesquisas atuais sobre o tema. Emergiram os seguintes elementos estruturantes: (1) o passado, carregado de sofrimento, se entrelaça ao presente e interfere na expectativa sobre o futuro; (2) o corpo invadido permanece simbolicamente marcado com cicatrizes indeléveis; (3) os sentimentos de culpa, raiva, solidão e desamparo constituem um sofrimento perene com impacto sobre os relacionamentos afetivos, inclusive em relação à figura materna; (4) “Quem me tornei após o abuso vivido?” repercute na vida adulta em relação ao processo de simbolização do self; e (5) o encontro dialógico possibilitou uma forma de cuidado e trouxe esperança em relação a poderem ajudar outras mulheres. Esses resultados visibilizam um tipo de sofrimento psicológico que impacta negativamente o desenvolvimento e a vida das pessoas, trazendo subsídios para a atuação de profissionais da área da saúde, em especial de psicólogos. Enfatiza-se a necessidade de intervenções psicológicas voltadas a acolher vivências de abuso sexual nos diversos contextos institucionais, de forma a possibilitar o desencadear de um processo de reintegração da personalidade em direção a uma elaboração saudável face a violência sofrida precocemente.

Sexual abuse is among the four biggest causes of human rights violations against children and adolescents in Brazil, and the majority of victims are female. It is also considered an important risk factor for the development of pathologies that affect physical, psychological, sexual and social health in adulthood. The negative repercussions for mental health stand out, such as feelings of shame, guilt, humiliation, helplessness and ambivalence throughout development. This study aimed to phenomenologically understand women's lived experience of sexual abuse suffered in childhood or adolescence. This is qualitative exploratory research, methodologically guided by the assumptions of classical phenomenology, developed by the German philosopher Edmund Husserl. Individual face-to-face dialogic meetings were held with each of the six participants, cisgender women aged between 21 and 40, lasting an average of two hours. A guiding question was presented by the researcher at the start of each meeting: “I'm interested in talking to women who have suffered sexual abuse in the past. Can you tell me about your experience and how you feel at the moment?” After each meeting, the researcher constructed a comprehensive narrative based on her impressions, feelings and ideas about the experience shared by the participant. Once the comprehensive narratives were completed, a summary narrative was drawn up containing the main elements that structure the phenomenon in focus, whose psychological understanding was anchored in the propositions of the classical phenomenology of Edmund Husserl and his collaborators and in current research on the subject. The following structuring elements emerged: (1) the past, laden with suffering, intertwines with the present and interferes with expectations about the future; (2) the invaded body remains symbolically marked with indelible scars; (3) feelings of guilt, anger, loneliness and helplessness constitute perennial suffering with an impact on affective relationships, including in relation to the mother figure; (4) “Who have I become after the abuse I experienced? “ has repercussions in adulthood in relation to the process of symbolizing the self; and (5) the dialogical encounter enabled a form of care and brought hope that they could help other women. These results highlight a type of psychological suffering that has a negative impact on people's development and lives, providing support for the work of health professionals, especially psychologists. It emphasizes the need for psychological interventions aimed at dealing with experiences of sexual abuse in various institutional contexts, in order to trigger a process of reintegration of the personality towards a healthy elaboration of the violence suffered early on.
