Gianni Vattimo em diálogo com Friedrich Nietzsche: a possibilidade do além-do-homem como abertura à caridade

Abstract

Propõe-se a partir das obras de Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (1844-1900) e Gianni Vattimo (1936-2023) compreender a relação entre o pensamento dos autores, especialmente, no que diz respeito ao conceito de “além-do-homem”. Nietzsche escreveu diversas obras que impactaram a história da filosofia, como: A Gaia Ciência (2001) (a primeira que marca, nos escritos do autor, a sentença “Deus está morto!”) e Assim Falou Zaratustra (2011) (que desenvolve a construção filosófica do além-do-homem). Há no pensamento do filósofo uma ligação dessas duas obras, pois com a “morte de Deus” é expresso o declínio das bases metafísicas e morais da cultura ocidental. Dessa maneira, abrem-se caminhos para a construção do conceito de além-do-homem, este pensado como superação do indivíduo. Gianni Vattimo foi um grande estudioso do pensamento e das obras do filósofo alemão, analisando o processo da modernidade enquanto abandono da concepção sacra. Como resultado, compreende a secularização sendo parte do enfraquecimento da metafísica, sobretudo, com o anúncio da sentença “Deus está morto!”. Além disso, Vattimo dedica a escrita da obra Diálogo com Nietzsche (2010) a fim de abordar os principais conceitos do pensador no exercício da interpretação filosófica, analisando o além-do-homem à luz da hermenêutica e da ética. Utilizamo-nos da hermenêutica filosófica como método, tendo a finalidade de analisar e interpretar as obras dos autores citados acima, como os textos de seus respectivos comentadores. A pesquisa é realizada no âmbito da área de ciências da religião, que com sua interdisciplinaridade, possibilita o diálogo fundamental entre teologia e filosofia, oferecendo a chave de interpretação do objeto estudado. Por fim, almeja-se nessa pesquisa contribuir para a área a partir da extensão do pensamento de além-do-homem, especificamente, com a concepção vattiminiana de sua realização, na prática da caridade.

The aim is to understand the relationship between the thoughts of Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (1844-1900) and Gianni Vattimo (1936-2023), particularly regarding the concept of “overman.” Nietzsche wrote several works that impacted the history of philosophy, such as: The Gay Science (2001) (the first to mark, in the author’s writings, the statement “God is dead!”) and Thus Spoke Zarathustra (2011) (which develops the philosophical construction of the overman). In the philosopher’s thought, there is a connection between these two works, as with the “death of God,” the decline of the metaphysical and moral foundations of Western culture is expressed. In this way, paths are opened for the construction of the concept of the overman, conceived as the overcoming of the individual. Gianni Vattimo was a great scholar of the thought and works of the German philosopher, analyzing the process of modernity as the abandonment of the sacred conception. As a result, he understands secularization as part of the weakening of metaphysics, especially with the announcement of the statement “God is dead!” Furthermore, Vattimo dedicates the writing of the work Dialogue with Nietzsche (2010) to address the main concepts of the thinker in the exercise of philosophical interpretation, analyzing the overman in light of hermeneutics and ethics. We employ philosophical hermeneutics as a method, aiming to analyze and interpret the works of the aforementioned authors, as well as the texts of their respective commentators. The research is conducted within the field of religious studies, which, with its interdisciplinarity, enables fundamental dialogue between theology and philosophy, offering the key to interpreting the studied object. Finally, this research aims to contribute to the field by extending the thought of the overman, specifically with the Vattimian conception of its realization in the practice of charity.
