Religião, política e Jerusalém: por uma compreensão do sionismo cristão

Abstract

No cenário mundial atual, observa-se que sistemas políticos, dinâmicas de poder e interesses religiosos frequentemente se transformam em questões de Estado. Este artigo, portanto, tem como objetivo principal compreender os efeitos da conexão entre o religioso e a política na sociedade internacional e nas dinâmicas globais, com especial atenção à situação no Oriente Médio (Israel e Palestina). De maneira interdisciplinar, esta pesquisa pretende analisar, sob perspectiva histórica, cultural e política, a criação do Estado moderno de Israel e do sionismo cristão, bem como investigar como a categoria histórico-teológico de Israel é interpretada pelo movimento sionista cristão, globalmente e no Brasil. Para tanto, a pesquisa assume metologia bibliografica e exploratória, utilizando uma abordagem qualitativa dos dados. Os resultados foram obtidos através da leitura e análise de livros, artigos e documentos, com o intuito de contribuir para os estudos acadêmicos e formentar uma reflexão crítica sobre o tema.

In the current global scenario, it is observed that political systems, power dynamics, and religious interests often become issues of the State. Therefore, this article aims to understand the impact of the relationship between religion and politics in international society and global dynamics, with special attention to the situation in the Middle East (Israel and Palestine). In an interdisciplinary manner, this research intends to analyze, from a historical, cultural, and political perspective, the creation of the modern State of Israel and Christian Zionism, as well as to investigate how the historical-theological category of Israel is interpreted by the Christian Zionist movement, globally and in Brazil. To this end, the research adopts a bibliographic and exploratory methodology, using a qualitative approach to the data. The results were obtained by reading and analyzing books, articles, and documents to contribute to academic studies and foster critical reflection
