The aim of this study is analyzing and discuss the contribution of green areas on meteorological variables, from the application of sensors integrated to sensors node developed for this study, thus aiming at environmental quality in the urban environment. Seen in this way, sensor nodes were proposed and implemented for monitoring in an area close to a preserved vegetation area covering collection points in the municipalities of Paulínia (SP) and Campinas (SP), within the limits of the Anhumas watershed. Both sensor nodes were composed of a microprocessor, sensor (DHT22 or MG811), battery, memory card adapter and memory card. The parameters to be studied from these sensors were air temperature and relative humidity with DHT22, and carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration with MG811. In view of the results obtained, it was observed the need for encapsulation and protection of the same, aiming at containing possible impacts of direct radiation under the sensors. They also attest that the APP contributed effectively, in the plot studied in Campinas, while for the municipality of Paulínia, it can be observed little influence of preserved vegetation area due to its distance in relation to the region studied in Paulínia. In addition to these interactions, influences on the environment exerted by vegetation areas and agricultural activities were identified, and may increase or reduce the CO2 level in the region, and contribute to good average air temperature and humidity.
