A Classe Ranger em diferentes traduções do jogo Dungeons & Dragon

Abstract

Por meio de uma metodologia qualitativa interpretativa, com apoio dos conhecimentos adquiridos e em textos escolhidos, este trabalho busca mostrar e analisar recortes da Classe Ranger do Livro do Jogador de Dungeons & Dragons 5 edição no texto original, na tradução oficial e na tradução não oficial, comentando as modificações e diferenças presentes na tradução não oficial que deve ter sido realizada de forma colaborativa por fãs desse jogo. Notamos que a tradução não oficial possui muitas alterações na Classe, sendo resultado da interpretação ou ainda, um desejo de autoria dos tradutores, que mudam algumas regras durante o jogo. De qualquer modo, foi a partir da tradução não oficial que mais pessoas foram atraídas para Dungeons & Dragons enquanto a tradução oficial não estava disponível.

Through an interpretative qualitative methodology, with the support of acquired knowledge and selected texts, this work seeks to show and analyze parts of the Ranger Class from the Player's Handbook of Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition in the original text, in the official translation and in the unofficial translation, commenting on the modifications and differences present in the unofficial translation that must have been done collaboratively by fans of this game. We noticed that the unofficial translation has many changes in the Class, being a result of the interpretation or a desire of authorship of the translators that change some rules during the game. At any rate, it was the unofficial translated text that attracted more people to Dungeons & Dragons while the official translation was not available.
