Raízes: a ancestralidade no processo de criação escultórica

Abstract

Neste presente trabalho investigarei a ligação da minha herança ancestral através da criação de esculturas, discutindo a influência das raízes afrodescendentes no meu processo de criação, questões essenciais para um artista afrodescendente. Ilustrarei como ocorre essa união com algumas obras realizadas anteriormente durante a trajetória acadêmica. Por fim, será abordado o processo de criação, mostrando as etapas que possibilitam a transformação dos pensamentos em esculturas que transmitem meu eu interior.

In this present work, I investigate the connection between my ancestral heritage and my sculptures, showing the influence of these roots in my creation process and how they are essential for me as an artist of African descent on the rise. I will illustrate how this union occurs with some works already carried out during my academic trajectory. I will also delve into the creation process, showing the steps that enable the transformation of thoughts into sculptures that convey my interior.
