Transições para a sustentabilidade: um estudo sobre uma rede escolar na perspectiva do ODS 7

Abstract

Este trabalho se propôs investigar a implementação de energia solar em uma rede de escolas particulares localizada no Sudoeste de São Paulo, abrangendo da educação infantil ao ensino médio. Para tanto, foi empregada uma abordagem exploratória, que possibilitou uma análise mais aprofundada sobre o impacto desta transição energética. Para tal, a pesquisa foi realizada a partir da combinação de entrevistas semiestruturadas com gestores das escolas e observações diretas nas escolas, permitindo um entendimento mais humanizado e detalhado sobre como a transição para fontes de energia renovável está sendo experimentada dentro das instituições. Essas entrevistas foram feitas no intuito de entender os benefícios econômicos que a energia solar trouxe, mas também as mudanças na cultura institucional e na percepção da comunidade escolar. Os resultados demonstram que a implementação de energia solar trouxe percepções bastante positivas para as escolas. A maior vantagem foi a redução em até 30% das contas de energia elétrica, o que gerou economia, frequentemente usada em melhorias na infraestrutura das escolas ou novos projetos pedagógicos. Além disso, a adoção de energia solar se tornou uma combustão para o fortalecimento da imagem das escolas, que passaram a ser vistas como mais comprometidas com o consumo de energia limpa e com a responsabilidade socioambiental.

This study set out to investigate the implementation of solar energy in a network of private schools located in the southwest of São Paulo, covering kindergarten through high school. To this end, an exploratory approach was used, which allowed for a more in-depth analysis of the impact of this energy transition. To this end, the research was conducted through a combination of semi-structured interviews with school administrators and direct observations in the schools, allowing for a more humanized and detailed understanding of how the transition to renewable energy sources is being experienced within the institutions. These interviews were conducted with the aim of understanding the economic benefits that solar energy has brought, but also the changes in the institutional culture and the perception of the school community. The results demonstrate that the implementation of solar energy has brought very positive perceptions to the schools. The greatest advantage was the reduction of up to 30% in electricity bills, which generated savings, often used in improvements to the schools' infrastructure or new pedagogical projects. Furthermore, the adoption of solar energy has become a fuel for strengthening the image of schools, which have come to be seen as more committed to clean energy consumption and environmental responsibility.
