econômica, nomeadamente a política monetária, fiscal e cambial.
A pesquisa utiliza métodos quantitativos
Abstract This dissertation proposes a comparative analysis of Brazil's response to the economic crises of 1929 and 2008, focusing on economic policy instruments, specifically monetary, fiscal, and exchange rate policies. The main objectives of the study are to understand how the policies implemented in each period influenced the trajectory of the Brazilian economy and to identify lessons learned that can guide future policies. The methodology involves a thorough review of the literature on economic crises and a robust theoretical approach to support the comparative analysis. The research employs both quantitative and qualitative methods, combining analysis of relevant economic indicators with a qualitative approach to understand the political and institutional context. The expected results address not only the economic impacts but also the social and political effects of the crises, providing a comprehensive and detailed insight into the Brazilian response. This study will contribute to a deeper understanding of economic dynamics during crisis moments and offer valuable insights for policymakers and researchers interested in Brazil's economic resilience over time.
